How much money does it take to finish a log cabin shell like the first cabin on this page? We recommend between $45,000 and $65,000 for a builder to bring it to completion, including central heat & air, the well & septic system, kitchen cabinets, countertops, etc. Your choice of finishing materials will greatly influence the price. Many people will spend around $50,000 to have the builder finish it, since they are usually looking for a nice, new home, and not necessarily something too basic or rustic.
